What does your typical day look like at Instrumental?

My typical day begins with reviewing and organizing my priorities by checking my Slack, email, and calendar. I then allocate specific time blocks for focused work, typically coding tasks found on the Kanban board in Jira. I also participate in code reviews and attend meetings. I keep my team updated by posting standup updates in our Slack channel.

Why did you choose Instrumental?

Furthermore, I believe that Instrumental’s mission of reducing waste in the manufacturing process is admirable, and the company culture aligns well with my own values and preferences.

What do you like most about your job?

I particularly like that I have the opportunity to learn a new programming language, Scala, and apply it to real-world projects. I enjoy that each day brings new challenges which allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and improve my problem-solving abilities.
